This experience is 2 hours in length.

  • Level 1: This experience is open to beginner paddlers. You are welcome to sit for the entire duration of the experience. You must be comfortable paddling in a straight line, turning and stopping. Having taken a stand-up paddleboard lesson previously is recommended if you’re feeling unsure. We offer lessons if you’re feeling like that may be beneficial prior to an experience with Back2Nature!

This is a leisure paddle, however, on some occasions the wind may pick-up in the evenings. Your guide is a stand-up paddleboard instructor and will provide you with tips and tools to assist you with paddling confidently and efficiently.

Previous stand-up paddleboarding experience is recommended but not required.

  • Our team at Back2Nature will be in touch with you via text message if the weather conditions (i.e. wind, thunderstorm) are unsafe to paddle and we will arrange to reschedule the paddle or provide you with a refund.

  • This experience is all-inclusive and includes most of the equipment you will need to feel comfortable adventuring with us on the water.

    We provide:

    • Group outing

    • Certified Paddle Canada Instructor

    • Option to Rent a Paddleboard, PFD, leash, whistle, lights

    • Safety equipment - communication device, first aid kit carried on your guide

    • Extra change of clothes

    • Towel

    • Water bottle

    • Dry bag (optional to bring extra clothing layers)

    • Transportation to the launch location

  • What should I wear?

You can wear a swim suit underneath a base layer (we recommend a short sleeved or long sleeved top). Then pack with you a sweater and a rain jacket. As for bottoms, we recommend wearing a quick dry material of shorts, capris or pants and bringing with you a pair of rain pants. As for your feet, we recommend submersible footwear that you can get wet. Please bring with you an extra change of clothes and footwear.

    Do you supply life jackets?

Yes, we have various sizes of PFDs/life jackets that we provide, along with a whistle attached! If you are bringing your own board, please bring a PFD with you!

Can I still join if I’ve never paddled before?

Even though we recommend previous paddling experience, we can provide you with training that will allow you to feel safe and confident on a stand-up paddleboard!

Do I need to stand for the duration of the paddling adventure?

Absolutely not! You can stand, kneel or sit down for any duration of the paddle!

  • Currently our Drift & Dine Experience is not accessible for a person with a mental or physical disability in Saskatoon. We are currently working with the City of Saskatoon to provide accessibility to the river!
