Meet Your Guides

Kyla Bouvier - Owner/Founder

Hi, I’m so glad to meet you! Let me tell you a little bit about myself!

I grew up on a farm near Regina, Saskatchewan and loved spending time outdoors growing up. As a little girl, I would dream of being an African safari guide, guiding tourists in the wild and educating them on the local wildlife. I would also be found helping my mom in the garden, hiking to the nearest wetland in the field with a backpack, playing in the sandbox with my brothers, dirt biking the backroads with neighbours, riding in the combine with my dad, snowmobiling and snowshoeing in the field in the winter, and camping and skiing with friends and family. Being an outdoor guide has always been a dream of mine ever since I was young! In school my nickname from my peers was “hippie”! I would be found wearing tie dye shirts, patches of peace signs on my jeans, I had beaded curtains in my bedroom doorway and would burn incense in my bedroom daily. I always had this inner desire for peace and love and to spread it all around!

After high school, I moved to Saskatoon to attend the University of Saskatchewan and graduated with a degree in Land Use and Environmental Studies. Since, I have worked in the environmental industry as a Wildlife Biologist and Project Manager. ever since.

In 2012, while pregnant with my oldest son, I went for my first BodyTalk session, one of my first experiences with energy medicine and consciousness. I was fascinated and curious how this session allowed me to feel, I felt lighter and happier. Ever since then I’ve learned more about consciousness and how investigating the body-mind connection is powerful. In 2014, I started to attend classes to learn more about holistic healing and consciousness.

On the winter solstice in 2016, my world was shaken up with the devastating news that my brother had passed away suddenly. This had flipped me upside down, shaken me to my core and allowed me to reflect on every aspect of my life. I reflected on my own mortality and how I was choosing to spend my time, whether life brought me joy. That lead me to devoting my time even more to deep inner healing, surfacing a lot of my own limiting belief systems I had been holding. Ever since then I’ve continued on that path while also spending quality time with my two sons.

As a result of committing to deep inner healing, I have a love for sharing what I have learned along the way. I have a passion for consciousness and the outdoors and Back2Nature Wellness and Adventures was birthed because it embodies both of these aspects. I have gained a life-long passion for helping others to look deep into their soul and unlock their unlimited possibilities and discover their true purpose and passions. I invite you to investigate the world of consciousness and how it can allow you to see the world through a different lens and perspective!

Kendra Chartier - Sauna Host

Kendra was born and raised in Saskatoon, SK and grew up living a typical city life. But despite being born in the big city of the prairies, her soul has always craved outdoor adventures, especially ones involving mountain scapes.

She has spent the past year and a half converting a transit van into her full time home for herself and her two cats, Marley and Mabel. You will likely see her furry companions and her home on wheels out at blackstrap while hosting private sauna experiences.

Kendra has passion for health and wellness, she loves rock climbing, running, yoga, horseback riding, and hiking. One day she will own some land in the mountains, where she can provide a safe space to children and young adults with physical and mental restrictions, healing through equine therapy and other holistic therapies.

Jenn Sharp - Yoga, Brunch & Sauna Host

Jenn is passionate about stories that enlighten and enliven. She shares stories in many ways, such as in her book Flat Out Delicious (a guide to food artisans and eating locally in her home province) and in the field-to-plate documentary series she hosts called Flat Out Food on CityTV Saskatchewan.

One of the greatest stories from her own life is learning to walk a path of deep body wisdom gleaned through intentional eating. Jenn’s insatiable curiosity about where food comes from, how it was grown, by whom and how the land was treated has led to life-changing experiences.

She guides yoga, embodied movement and meditation practices, along with food and writing workshops based on these experiences. Teachers and wisdom keepers she’s studied with both at home and afar have been generous in sharing their knowledge with Jenn.

She lives in Saskatoon with her partner Amin. Together they own and operate Dopamine Fitness & Wellness.

Back2Nature Wellness and Events is dedicated to Kolan Langmaier, Kyla’s brother, who passed away suddenly in 2016. Kolan had such a zest for life and lived each moment to the fullest. His smile and laugh would light up and touch everyone he encountered. His passing has taught Kyla to live more presently, and practice gratitude and patience.
