Discovering primitive pottery by making your own beaded wall hanging! This is a hands-on activity where you will be designing and decorating beads from raw clay, firing them in a primitive style fire pit, then putting all the pieces together in an arrangement as unique as you are!
Hiking through the South Saskatchewan River valley and discovering what empowering messages nature has for us!
Breathwork Meditation that allows you to release and tune into the body and out of the mind!
Relaxing and releasing in a wood-burning barrel sauna!
This is an all-inclusive retreat, with all of the supplies and meals provided for a two-night Earth Elements Escape Retreat to assist you with disconnecting from the hustle and bustle and re-connecting with nature and yourself overlooking the serene South Saskatchewan River.
Camp Wolf Willow, located on the river banks of the South Saskatchewan River, offers the perfect location to unwind and re-connect, it is located 45 minutes south of Saskatoon. We are provided exclusive access to Camp Wolf Willow for this fall weekend and that will be the base for our wellness adventure experience, offering you breath-taking views of the valley, sunsets and sunrises!

This retreat is all about kicking back and relaxing while enjoying an overnight camping experience in an A-frame cabin at Camp Wolf Willow.
This is an all-inclusive retreat, with all of the supplies and meals provided for a two day, two night clay-hike-meditation-sauna retreat to assist you with slowing down and re-connecting with nature and yourself on the serene South Saskatchewan River.
Camp Wolf Willow, on the river banks of the South Saskatchewan River, offers the perfect location to unwind and re-connect. It is located 45 minutes south of Saskatoon. We’ve been granted exclusive access to the camp during the off-season. Camp Wolf Willow will be the base for our wellness and adventure experience, offering you breath-taking views of the valley, sunsets and sunrise.

You will be meeting your wellness and adventure guides at Camp Wolf Willow at 6 pm on the day of your scheduled retreat (Friday, September 27th, 2024).
We will be camping overnight at Camp Wolf Willow in a A-frame cabin, heated with a wood-burning stove or choose to camp in a tent.

Your accommodation will be a shared A-frame cabin with a wood stove inside for heating.
Choose between:
Two-person shared small A-frame cabin
Two-person shared large A-frame cabin
Tenting
The two-person small A-frame cabins come with one double bed and one cot.
The two-person large A-frame cabins come with two double beds.
The mattress on the double bed will be made with a fitted sheet and two regular pillows with pillow cases. There are also throw pillows and a thin blanket provided. Please bring your own sleeping bag. The cabins include a solar battery to charge a phone and provide lighting.
The tenting option allows you to bring your own equipment, or choose to rent equipment upon signing up.

Friday, September 27, 2024 at 6 pm arrival to Sunday, September 29 2024 to 4pm departure

Day One - Friday Night
You will meet your wellness and adventure guides at Camp Wolf Willow at 6 pm to check-in. You’ll cozy into your A-frame cabin or set up your tent and then make your way to the Winery for an evening of appetizers and sauna! We will begin the evening with introductions and get to know each other while relaxing in the sauna and unwinding near the fire! Note, the winery is currently closed but you will have the option to purchase their products!
Following your evening sauna you’ll retreat back to your A-frame cabin or tent for a restful night sleep!
Day Two - Saturday
You will meet your wellness and adventure guides at the Winery for breakfast at 9 am, allowing you to sleep-in or enjoy a slow morning. Following breakfast we will gather and collect botanicals on a short hike prior to making primitive clay beads, which will be fired in the evening campfire. This will be followed by a nourishing lunch before we venture off to explore the trails along the South Saskatchewan River and collect items to be used for your beaded wall hanging. Following our hike, you’ll have some time to decompress, relax and journal before we meet for a group dinner. After dinner, you’ll have some time to bathe in the sauna, sit by the fire or relax and enjoy the A-frame cabins!
Day Three - Sunday
You’ll rise to the sounds of nature around you and slowly stretch out of your luxury A-frame cabin or tent. We will meet for a light breakfast before you are led through a Breathwork Meditation practice with views of the South Saskatchewan River Valley. Following the practice, you will enjoy a hearty brunch before digging your clay beads out of the campfire and creating a wall hanging for you to take home with you. You’ll end your day with packing up your items, a closing ceremony and reflecting and unwinding before travelling back home.

This wellness adventure was designed for those with a low to moderate fitness level. You will be engaging in clay making, hiking, breathwork meditation and relaxing in a sauna.
This wellness adventure retreat will be located both indoors and outdoors. You should be comfortable with the outdoors and cooler temperatures. The A-frame cabins are heated with a wood stove and may require you to stoke them throughout the night to stay warm.
Weather in Saskatchewan can be unpredictable, therefore the days may be hot, cool, calm or windy. Therefore, prepare and pack for any weather situation.
A few days prior to the trip, the guide will assess the weather situation, and if need be, may need to cancel or delay the trip if inclement weather surfaces.

Retreat Guide
Kyla has a lifelong passion for the outdoors and promotes an inner journey in the outdoors! She has a passion for assisting others in cultivating self-awareness and connection with self in an outdoor experience. She had worked as a biologist for the past 16 years and is well versed in the outdoors having conducted many field surveys in remote areas.
Kyla has been guiding participants on outdoor adventures for the past three years. She has been trained as an outdoor field leader through the Outdoor Council of Canada and holds certification as a hiking, winter, overnight and paddling field leader. Kyla is also trained in wilderness first aid and CPR and is a Paddle Canada Instructor.
She is a self-awareness educator with certifications in BodyTalk, Access Bars, Conscious Living Investigation and Reiki. Through her own life experiences, Kyla has transformed and aligned by investigating her own internal environment and goes through life with a self-reflective mindset.
Potter/Retreat Guide
Meghan with The Clay Den is a potter and BodyTalk Practitioner in Saskatoon. She has been making pottery for almost 20 years and currently sells her ware at Clay Studio Three and Camp Wolf Willow, however her favourite thing is to share pottery with others!
She loves teaching and watching students interact with clay, it always offers an opportunity for exploration, experimentation and self reflection for the students and herself! You can find photos of her work on her instagram account: meghieliz_ceramics

Full payment or a non-refundable deposit is due at the time of booking to reserve your spot. A full refund minus a 5% administration fee will be issued if you cancel 30 days prior to the retreat start date. If you cancel between 15-30 days prior to the retreat, you will have the option of using the funds towards an upcoming adventure. If you cancel 15 days or less prior to the retreat, no refund is issued. Any late-comers or no-shows, may not be rescheduled or refunded. Back2Nature Wellness and Adventures reserves the right to cancel any adventure due to insufficient registrations or unsafe conditions. If Back2Nature Wellness and Adventures cancels a trip, you will receive a full refund or may choose to transfer your payment to a future trip. Back2Nature Wellness and Adventures cannot be held liable for any injuries, losses, or damages in any such way.
